Our Key Research Themes

Sustainable Metal Leaching

We develop safer extraction processes that replace strong mineral acids with mild organic acids, deep eutectic solvents, and bioleaching systems. These approaches recover gold, copper, and other critical metals efficiently while reducing environmental impact.

Smart Plastic Separation

Our work advances the separation and reuse of polymer fractions from printed circuit boards. By avoiding high-temperature processes and toxic emissions, we support cleaner recycling routes with lower carbon footprint.

Integrated Pilot Plant

A pilot-scale demonstration in Malaysia will showcase a full recycling workflow optimised for local feedstocks and industrial needs, enabling a practical pathway towards commercial deployment.
