On Wednesday 3rd June 2026, we hosted Day 1 of our iRECYCLE-Malaysia Symposium II in Belfast! The teams from Queen’s University Belfast, University of Malaya and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS got together for a day of internal presentations, meetings and discussions.
We had a fantastic day of reconnecting with international colleagues, listening to insightful presentations from our post-doctoral researchers, and engaging in productive work package discussions. We were able to celebrate recent successes and work collaboratively to refine our strategic roadmap and next steps to maximise our project’s impact. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making Day 1 so productive.
And of course, no team day is complete without a team building activity… this time, pottery painting at the Belfast Pottery Painting Studio!
Following the success of Day 1, we were thrilled to open our doors for Day 2 of the iRECYCLE-Malaysia Symposium II in Belfast! Day 2 shifted the focus toward external engagement, bringing together academic experts and key industry partners, from both the UK and Malaysia, to explore the future of e-waste recycling and circularity.
